THE AGONIST Vocalist Invites Fans To Submit Song Ideas
December 6, 2007Vocalist Alissa White-Gluz of the Montreal-based metallers THE AGONIST has issued the following update:
"I have never collaborated on a song before, but I think I am up for the challenge. The new album is being written as we speak, and we are very excited about the way it is going. There are a lot of issues I want to tackle, but I enjoy having a symbiotic relationship with my fans, and want to hear from all of you:
"I want to hear what YOU are passionate about; what issue you want to tackle; what makes you aggravated, happy, sad, determined. I want YOU to write to me letting me know about something close to you that you need to get out to the world. Write me a letter, a rant, and essay, anything. I'd love to hear it! And whichever topic(s) I choose will earn the author a thank you in the next THE AGONIST album as well as the title of muse for an upcoming song!
"So let me know, it can be about anything, but of course I'll only consider serious, sincere responses. And be sure to include an email address where I can reach you to discuss the subject afterwards and really get inspiration for my lyrics!
"I look forward to hearing from you!"
Alissa can be contacted via the band's MySpace page.
A THE AGONIST e-card is now available, featuring video messages from vocalist Alissa White-Gluz discussing the meaning behind each track on the band's debut CD, "Once Only Imagined", along with their first music video for the track "Business Suits and Combat Boots", shot by renowned director David Brodsky (ALL THAT REMAINS, GWAR, THE RED CHORD). "Once Only Imagined" tackles some of society's biggest issues, including animal testing, drug abuse, eating disorders, environmental protection and man's inhumanity towards man and animals. The band's ultimate goal, though, is simply to encourage people to think for themselves.
